Transition to Teaching Scholarship Program The Transition to Teaching scholarship is an academic scholarship funded by the Department of Education’s Teacher, Recruitment and Retention Fund. The purpose of the TTT scholarship is to recruit and retain mid-career professionals who have demonstrated an interest in the teaching profession. Recipients will be afforded the opportunity to become a certified teacher in the United States Virgin Islands Public schools. Eligible Applicants Eligible applicants must be legal residents of the Virgin Islands and possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Applicants must also commit to teach in a Virgin Islands Public school for 5 years. Note: All applications will be reviewed by a committee made up of educators and community partners, headed by the Commissioner of Education or her designee. Program Requirements
